What is an Image Flipper?

An Image Flipper (also known as a Mirror Tool) allows you to reverse the orientation of an image either along its horizontal axis (left-to-right) or vertical axis (top-to-bottom). Unlike rotation, which turns an image, flipping creates a mirror reflection of the original asset.

This tool is particularly useful for correcting selfies that were saved mirrored, creating symmetrical design patterns, or simply changing the focus and "flow" of a photograph to better suit a website layout.

Yes. Rotating turns the entire image around a center point (e.g., 180 degrees). Flipping creates a mirror image where left becomes right, which cannot be achieved by rotation alone.

Can I flip a photo to fix reversed text?

Absolutely! Using the Horizontal Flip is the standard way to fix text that appears backwards in selfies or web-cam photos.

Does this work on transparent images?

Yes. If you upload a transparent PNG and choose PNG or WEBP as your output format, the transparency will be perfectly preserved after flipping.
